Meet the Doctors / Meet the Staff

Beverly Osteen, DVM - Graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983. She has practiced in the Plano and Allen area since 1988. She and her husband Richard have two daughters, Rory and Lexi, a son, Ian, and her plucky chocolate lab, Lola. Dr. Osteen is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association. 

In her spare time, Dr. Osteen likes to travel with her family and friends.  Past trips have included trips to Alaska, France, and other portions of Europe.  Her hobbies include skiing, yoga, reading, and scrap-booking. 

 
Deborah Davis, DVM - Graduated from Iowa State University in 1979. She has practiced in the Plano, Richardson, and Allen area since 1979. Dr. Davis and her husband Mike have two sons Tommy and Bobby, several dogs, and two cats. Dr. Davis is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association.

When Dr. Davis is not practicing medicine, you can find her enjoying her sons' soccer and basketball games.  If she's not attending her sons' events, Dr. Davis herself may be found in the competition ring showing one of her beautiful Pekingese dogs. 
 

 
Molly Price, DVM - Graduated from Texas A&M University in 2002.  She practiced in Houston for 2 years then moved back home to Dallas in 2004.  She lives in Allen with her husband Ryan (also a veterinarian), happy little baby Matthew, and 2 aloof male kitties - a cross-eyed black "tuxedo" 5-year-old named Quincey and an 8-year-old Maine Coon named Truman who will jump on anyone's lap only if they have an afghan or blanket in their lap.  Dr. Price joined AVC in the fall of 2007.

Dr. Price loves taking care of Matthew, and her hobbies include scrapbooking, playing piano and viola, and reading mystery books.  She is also an active member at First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas.

 

 

Daryl Mensik, DVM, MBA – Graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005, then again from The Mays Business School (Texas A&M University) with a Master of Business Administration in 2006.  Dr. Mensik worked in Navasota, Sachse, and The Colony before joining the team at AVC.  He’s had  varied practice experiences having worked with horses and emergency/critical care medicine and surgery.  Dr. Mensik is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Mensik joined AVC in the spring of 2008.

Dr. Mensik and his wife, Lollie, live in McKinney. They have 2 dogs, Hannah and Gracie, and 3 cats (Kiwi, Stinky, and Keds).  The Mensik family is a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, The McKinney A&M Club, the Association of Former Students (Texas A&M), and Sam Houston State Alumni Association.  He also volunteers for the Lonestar 4-H Horse Club of Collin County, Collin County 4-H Veterinary Science Program, and St. Cloud’s Rescue.

Karen Lass, DVM - Dr. Lass is our regular relief veterinarian who not only takes care of our patients, but she helps take care of us so WE can get away!  She has been with our practice for years with the added benefit that she also sees avian patients on a limited basis. 

Dr. Lass lives in Allen with her husband, her two children, Faith and Joshua, her dogs Lucy & Cody, and a feisty bird.
